Muntari sad at Boateng's Milan exit

I was sad when KPB told me he was leaving - Muntari

Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari says Kevin-Prince Boateng’s departure from AC Milan to Schalke 04 left him in miserable state.

Boateng’s transfer to Schalke could pass as one of the surprise moves in the summer transfer window.

The 26-year-old made the move just 48 hours after scoring two goals for Milan in their 3-0 win over PSV Eindhoven in the CL play-offs.

“When he called and told me that maybe he will move away I felt so sad, but such things happen I wish him to be happy.

“I want him to do his best and all that he can but surely I will really miss him here,” Muntari told Millanelo.

Muntari also went ahead to talk about his club career.

“Last season I did not start well because of injury, but this season I am fit and I have started so well.

“The Champions League is difficult, we are in a group with Celtic, Ajax and Barcelona but I hope we will qualify,” the former Udinese midfielder added.
