Promasidor to be honoured for supporting Cycling

Promasidor Ghana Limited, producers of Cowbell products will be one of the award winners at the 38th SWAG Awards Gala at the Banquet Hall of the State House in Accra.

The company that has taken cycling as its baby and nurturing it to international standard will be honoured for sponsoring the Cowbell National Cycling race for the past three years and going on to do it better and bigger.

Even before their nomination by SWAG most hard working patron, Oheneba Charles, many Ghanaians have hailed the Cowbell National Cycling tour and wished it was held twice a year But Kwabena Asamoa, Communications Manager says it is very expensive to organize an event of that magnitude within 13 days, and they must he hailed and congratulated for the hard work.

He however welcomed SWAG’s nomination for a special award for promoting Cycling, which is a sport not only for competition, but for keeping fit, for economizing in transportation, and an activity that is environmentally friendly. He stated that many people also ride for leisure and they can form clubs for both amateur and professionals linking up with the Ghana Cycling Federation to do events.

“Cycling has more to offer and Ghanaians must expect more, but the Federation needs support. We are playing our part to make sure that the cyclists are developed and the clubs are maintained. We will welcome other corporates to join to make cycling the number two sport in Ghana, after football” he said.
