Boateng ponders Dnipro exit

Ghana midfielder Derek Boateng has admitted ‘things are not going well’ for him at Ukraine side FC Dnipro.
The 29-year-old has not made a league appearance for Dnipro this season and has been limited to reserves team action since returning from the 2013 Nations Cup in South Africa.
Boateng’s inactivity at club level led to his exclusion from the Ghana squad that thrashed Sudan 4-0 in the 2014 World Cup qualifier on Sunday.
The former Getafe man admits he is in dark over his future with the Ukrainians but insists he must work hard to win a place in Juande Ramos’ side.
“Things are not going well at my club now but I will work to ensure things go well,” he told Accra-based Happy FM in Accra.
He has been linked with a return to Greece to join giants Olympiakos.
After watching the Black Stars hammer Sudan from his television in far away Eastern Europe, Boateng was full of praise for Ghana coach James Kwesi Appiah.
“He’s a good coach and he understands the players very well so we have a strong chance of qualifying to the World Cup,” he added.
