Yahaya Mohammed: I’m 100% better now

Amidaus Professionals’ star, Yahaya Mohammed says he is in perfect condition and raring to go as the Glo Ghana Premier League resumed over the weekend with the second round of the 2012/13 season.

Yahaya, on loan from Asante Kotoko struck ten goals to top the scorers’ chart in the first round earning him a call-up to the national team but injury ruled him out of the recent Africa Cup of Nations. Now, Yahaya says he is fully recovered and ready for action after Amidaus kick-started the second half of their maiden top flight campaign with a 3-1 win against RTU last Saturday.

“I’m feeling better. I started full training for about four weeks now and I’m 100% fit and strong. I am ready to continue where I left off in the first round and I hope to help Amidaus finish in a respectable position,” Yahaya Mohammed said after banging in his 11th goal of the season against RTU.

He is also determined to bang in more goals with a recall to the Black Stars in mind.

“I was the leading goal scorer in the first round so the expectations will be higher and all opponents will keep alert eyes on me,” Yahaya admitted.

He added: “So I have to work harder and improve because things can only get tougher. I have to prove myself again to earn a call-up to the Black Stars, it’s a dream which still remains.”
