Ghanaians should keep calm – Asamoah Gyan

Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan is calling on Ghanaians to rally behind the Black Stars to win against Mali on Thursday at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

The striker said victory against the Eagles is achievable and that hope will be whole if Ghanaians everywhere support them, despite their opening game setback.

The Al Ain striker believes a win against the Eagles of Mali is attainable on Thursday, but Ghanaians should be optimistic and forget about Sunday’s draw against DRC.

“We have to go with the mentality of winning because the more you win, the more you qualify,” the Al Ain striker told Ghanasoccernet.

“I would urge Ghanaians to keep calm, keep on praying for the Black Stars.”

Gyan added: ‘They should have confidence in the team because this is just the first game, we have got two more games to go. It will depend on the players, now everything depends on the team and we will make sure we demonstrate it and make sure we qualify from the group.”

The Black Stars will square off with the Eagles on Thursday.
