Stars last to arrive in Port Elizabeth

Ghana’s Black Stars will be the last team in Group B to arrive at their base for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Stars delegation is expected to touch down at the wee-hours of Thursday, January 17, at the Port Elizabeth Airport, to complete the representatives for the coastal city.

The team leaves their Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), camping base for Johannesburg, on Wednesday afternoon before moving to Port Elizabeth by air hours on.

The three other members of the group, Niger, Mali and DR Congo have all arrived and began fine-tuning their respective preparations ahead of the opening matches on Sunday.

The Leopards of DR Congo arrived last Tuesday night from Oman led by head coach, Claude Le Roy, the man who guided the Black Stars to bronze during 2008 edition on home soil.

Niger were the first to arrive last week before being joined by their Malian counterparts.

Ghana plays DR Congo in the opener whilst Mali squares Niger in all francophone battle.
