Amidaus’ Mohammed takes tally to nine

Amidaus Professionals midfielder, Yahaya Mohammed, maintains his lead on the scorers chart of the 2012/2013 Premier League with nine goals after 12 matches.

Mohammed, experiencing the form of his life, scored his ninth goal of the season as his club stunned Ebusua Dwarfs 2-0 over the weekend.

The enforcer, on loan from Asante Kotoko, yet again proved that his inclusion in the 26-man provisional squad for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations was not out of place, by dishing out a standard performance.

He is trailed by Liberty Professionals midfielder Kennedy Ashia, Seidu Salifu of All Stars, Tema Youth youngster Francis Narh and Latif Salifu of Berekum Chelsea, all on six goals apiece.

On five goals is Yakubu Mohamed (AshantiGold) whilst Mahatma Otoo (Hearts of Oak) and Abdul Aziz Yusif (Real Tamale United) have each scored four times.

Information gathered by GNA Sports indicates that Kofi Nti Boakye (Asante Kotoko), John Arthur (Dwarfs), Aaaron Amoah (AshantiGold), Daniel Darkwa (Aduana), Sulley Mohamed (King Faisal) and Medeama duo, Theophilus Anobaah and Kabiru Moro have each hit the back of the net thrice.

As many as 63 players have scored one goal each in the premiership which has recorded 158 goals so far.
