Asamoah Gyan promises more for boxing fraternity

Ghana captain, Asamoah Gyan has assured boxing fans in the West African country of a revival in the sport.

The 26-year-old who has established the Baby Jet Boxing promotions staged his first boxing bout on Saturday at the Accra sports stadium.

Boxing pundits say the event was one of the best in many years.

The Attendance, build-up and post match events have been lauded by many sports fans in Ghana.

“I think for the past years, something like this has not happened and I promise Ghanaians to expect another exciting fight in the near future,” the Al Ain striker told Goal.com Ghana.

Gyan and his family are mourning the death of his mother who passed away on November 6 following a car crash in Accra.
