Ghana Rugby Association Welcomes A Proud Son

Of The Land To The Central Region

Ghana Rugby Association will on the morning of Tuesday 17th July 2012 welcome Master Nii Lartey Laryea a former student of Whitgift School in the United Kingdom to Ghana ahead of a rugby Clinic and tournament day to be held at about 3:30pm on Wednesday July 18th 2012 at the Robert Mensah Sports Stadium in Cape Coast.
Master Laryea is a student born in the United Kingdom of Ghanaian parentage who has decided to help develop rugby in Ghana by availing his expertise in the game in the Central Region as part of his Service to the Country.
Whilst in the country, Master Laryea will help the coaches and technical team of the Central and Western Regions to organize a day’s Rugby Clinic and Tournament day for all rugby playing schools. He is then expected on the Thursday 19th July 2012 to visit, historic sites and some of the clubs in the Region, after which he will make his way to the Greater Accra Region to Have a day’s training with Kanda Cluster of Schools, coached by Ms. Rafatu Inusah on Friday 20th July 2012 before departing the country.

• Oguaman Ocean Warriors
• Asuachyre Undertakers
• Manford Lions
• Kotokraba All Stars

The highlights of the day will include matches between Adisadel College and Mfantsipim School, Abura Bombers and Oguaman Ocean Warriors and the match between Central and Western Rugby Academy.
The program is expected to be a big boost for rugby in the Central and Western Regions of the Country and Ghana Rugby Association therefore takes great pride in this development as we seek to spread the game across the length and breath of Ghana.
In attendance will be the President of the Ghana Rugby Association; Gifty Annan-Myers, the Central and Western Regional Rugby Coach; George Ladipo and the Central Regional Director of sports; Mr. Abedu Wilson among others.
