Chelsea scares off Zamalek with huge price tag over Clottey

Footy-ghana.com understands that Egyptian giants Zamalek made enquiries about Berekum Chelsea striker Emmanuel Clottey before the two teams met yesterday in Accra in the CAF Champions League.

According to our sources, Zamalek were interested in Clottey as a possible replacement for want away Benin forward Razak Omotoyossi, but were quoted a staggering sum of €500,000 (500,000 Euros) for Clottey’s services.

Clottey’s eventual hat trick against Zamalek yesterday would only have heightened his value and footy-ghana.com has learnt that Berekum Chelsea will only release him after the club ends its CAF Champions League campaign.
