Gala in honour of Kingston brothers

The Daystar Assemblies of God Church will on Tuesday, May 1, organise a football gala in honour of the Kingston brothers (Richard and Laryea) for their contribution to Ghana football.

The gala which will feature other Churches in the Teshie–Agblesah area will take place at the Teshie Sports Complex (Star Park), Teshie–Tsuibleoo.

According to the organizers, the one-day gala is to acknowledge the contribution of the two players towards the rise of Ghana football and for raising high the name of the community.

The duo, citizens of Teshie have featured for almost all the national teams with goalkeeper Richard having over 80 appearances with the Black Stars and midfielder Laryea currently re-building his career with Accra Hearts of Oak.

Participating teams at the gala include Goodnews Worship Centre, Kingdom Worship Centre, Teshie Methodist Church, Winners’ Chapel, Teshie Presbyterian Church, Eagles Missionaries and Laryea 7 Football Club.

The event will be graced by Clement Kofi Humado – Minister of Youth and Sports, Nii Nortey Dua – Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Works and Housing and also the Member of Parliament for Ledzokuku, Daniel M. Amartey – Municipal Chief Executive and Stanley Kumah the Assembly Member.**
