Imoro set for RTU return

Accra, Nov. 30, GNA - Former Asante Kotoko player, Kabiru Imoro, is set on a return to his mother club, Real Tamale United (RTU). Imoro has underperformed since joining the Porcupine Warriors two seasons ago, and has been declared redundant by the club's technical team. The striker is one of eight players transfer-listed by Kotoko and his mother club is understood to have formalized attempts for his comeback. Jawhari Baba Duah, Secretary of RTU, told GNA Sports that his outfit had formally informed Kotoko of their interest in re-signing the striker as part of the revival mission.

He said Imoro is one of six players targeted by the RTU Management for the second transfer window in their quest to beef up their team for the second half of the 2010/2011 Glo Premier League. "We have also written to New Edubiase and Chelsea for some players to strengthen our team."

The "Pride of the North" is perched at the bottom of the league standings with a paltry eight points from 13 games.
