Ghana Amateur Boxing Association goes to Congress on Thursday

Accra, May 23, GNA - The Ghana Amateur Boxing Association (GABA) will on Thursday, May 27 go to Congress to elect its National Executive officers for a four year term of office.

The Congress scheduled for Thursday, 1:00 pm at the Media Center of the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium, Accra, will see delegates elect a President, First and Second Vice Presidents and a Treasurer. Also up for election is the position of a Technical Director, whilst the position of a General Secretary and Chief Coach of the Association would be appointed by the National Sports Council (NSC).

A statement by Kwame Amponfi Jr, General Secretary of the GABA copied to GNa Sports said each Regional Amateur Boxing Association and GABA Affiliate bodies are to present two delegates each with one voting right for the Congress. The delegates are to be certified in writing by the Regional Associations to the General Secretary before Thursday, May 27. 23 May 10
