Thumbs up for Satellites’ coach for victory over Rwanda

Ghanaian soccer fans on Saturday commended the Ghana Under-20 national team, the Black Satellites’ coach Sellas Tetteh, for guiding his side to chalk 2-0 victory over host nation Rwanda in the ongoing African Youth Championships taking place in Kigali, the Rwandan capital.

The victory also helped the team top Group A with seven points, which qualified them to the semi-finals and World U-20 tournament to be hosted by Egypt later this year.

The two-goal hero, Ransford Osei, who hit the back of the net in the 68th and 80th minutes respectively, was also hailed by soccer fans, who urged him to remain focused to enable his team win the ultimate trophy.

After the titanic match, which was telecast live in Accra on television from Kigali, soccer fans called into radio programmes to congratulate coach Tetteh for his impressive performance since taking over as coach.

Ghana won the Youth Championships in 1999 and is expected to meet the runner-up of Group B, which could be either Nigeria or South Africa.
