Volta Regional FA Sanctions 4 clubs

THE Volta Regional Football Association has sanctioned four clubs in the current regional second division league for not honouring certain league matches without proper reasons.

The affected clubs are to forfeit three points and three goals each in addition to a fine of ?100,000 each to be paid by Sunday, October 6 or in default, face further sanctions.

The clubs are; Kpando Supreme Stars which, will lose three goals to be awarded to Abutia Super Rangers, and Kpando Football Club, which will also lose three points and three goals to Abutia Super Rangers.

The Likpe Football Club will also lose three points and three goals to Tapa-Amanfrom United while Klikor Forest Sacred Football Club will lose three points and three goals to the advantage of Rainbows Stars of Aflao for not honouring a home match.

This was contained in a press release signed by the regional FA secretary, Mr Paul Nutsugah and issued at Ho. The release stated that the league centre at Wudoaba for Shooting Stars has been closed down in view of the persistent crowd violence which has put the safety of match officials and visiting teams in doubt.

It also said the RFA has taken a serious view of the incidence of impersonation as regards the Akatsi Football Club which fielded two unqualified players with fake registration cards.
