Tema Youth pip Great Olympics

Cape Coast, Dec. 1, GNA - Tema Youth stopped the winning spree of Accra Great Olympics when they pipped them by a lone goal in their Sub-Middle League match played at the Robert Mensah Sports stadium at Cape Coast on Wednesday.

Olympics who beat Team Youth in both the home and away matches in the First Division League, were matched squarely by the Tema boys and went ahead to score the lone goal the 13th minute when outside left, Emmanuel Kojo Peace, broke the deadlock with a 30 yard long range shot to fetch them the match winner.

On resumption of the second half, Olympics who found the going very tough made two changes in an effort to come on level terms with their opponents.

The changes paid dividends as it enabled Olympics to dictate the pace of the game for the greater part of the second half but the defence of Tema Youth worked overtime to thwart all threatening moves and to hold on to their lone goal victory till the end of the final whistle.
