Srodae beat Ada in crucial gala match

Srodae scored a second half goal to defeat Ada team by a lone goal, to raise their hopes of qualifying for the next stage of the Joy Dadi Koforidua Inter-Community Gala, in the second match played at the Koforidua Methodist School Park.

The highly tensed match between Srodae and Koforidua Ada had to end on a sad note, as the police had to disperse angry fans of the Ada team with pepper spray, in order to rescue the referee from the angry fans.

At the blow of the final whistle, some angry fans of the Koforidua Ada team who felt the referee did not favour them, started throwing sachets of water and other missals at the referee who had to run and seek protection from the five policemen around.

The Police had to use the pepper spray to ensure that the increasing crowd who wanted to attack the referee dispersed, to ensure his safety.

In the first match of the day, Besta FC beat Future Stars by four goals to nil.
