Sharkia confirms participation in Hockey Club Championship

Accra, Nov. 30, GNA - Sharkia Club of Egypt, defending champions of Africa Hockey Club Championship has confirmed their participation in the 23rd edition of the competition to be hosted by Ghana. The defending champions, who have won the competition 20 times, are expected in Accra on Thursday, December 2, alongside fellow Egyptian side Police Service.

Information gathered from the secretariat of the Ghana Hockey Association (GHA) by the Ghana News Agency indicates that other participating teams are expected to arrive in Ghana for the competition early next week.

In a related development, the GHA has said they would establish three make shift clinics at the venue of the competition; the National Hockey Pitch, Accra to take care of the medical needs of the competition.
