Ref. Lamptey to handle Malawi/Tunisia CAN 2012 qualifier

Accra, Sept. 2, GNA - Ghanaian referee Joseph Lamptey will be at the centre of this weekend's 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Tunisia and Malawi in Rades, Tunisia.

The Group K day four clash will take place at the November 7 Stadium in Rades, located at the Southeast of the capital, Tunis.

Information gathered by the GNA Sports from the headquarters of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) indicates that referee Lamptey will lead the quartet of Ghanaian match officials penciled for the encounter.

The 35-year old Immigration Officer will be assisted on the linesd by compatriots Haruna Ayuba and David Laryea with William Agbovi as fourth official.

Algeria's Belaid Lacarne will act as the Match Commissioner.

The quartet are the busiest Ghanaian match officials and were recently in charge of the Orange CAF Champions League clash involving Dynamos of Zimbabwe and T. P. Mazembe of DR Congo in Harare last July.

The referees have since left for Tunis.
