Ntow-Fiako heads Division One League Board

Accra, Sept. 25, GNA -- Mr Kwame Ntow-Fiako, an Accra based lawyer, has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Division One League Board (DOLB) by the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

His appointment follows the resignation of Mr Douglass Djarbeng, who tendered his resignation last week after several years of service to the Board.

Mr Djarbeng cited interference from the officials of the GFA among other reasons for opting out of the job he selflessly handled over the years.

Mr Ntow-Fiako's appointment, according to information gathered by the GNA Sports from the corridors of the GFA takes immediate effect The new Chairman has for the past years acted as the Vice Chairman of the DOLB.

Mr Ntow-Fiako is known as a football administrator and has been associated with teams from the Brong Ahafo Region.

He played the role of legal advisor and the Accra representative of Brong Ahafo United before later shifting to Berekum Arsenals. Ntow-Fiako is expected to bring along his long years of experience in the game to bear in the 48 club League which commenced last week. He is to be assisted by Nana Ntiri Dankyi, a member of the Executive Council of the GFA.
