Medeama suspends defender Otuo indefinitely

Ghanaian Premier League leaders Medeama FC have suspended influential defender Otuo Acheampong indefinitely after disappearing from camp.

Medeama officials granted permission to Otuo attend to personal issues for just one day but he ended up spending up to one week, according to report.

Medeama wants to ensure discipline in camp ahead of the resumption of the Glo Premier League on Sunday and have axed the center-half.

“He came to us to seek permission to be away for one day but he ended up spending up to one week,” Medeama Vice President Albert Commey told Accra-based Happy FM.

It is however unclear whether Otuo ban could affect his inclusion in the local Black Stars as he is part of Coach Dauda Lutterodt’s plans.
