Medeama SC have excluded head coach Tom Strand from the contingent which will embark for their CAF Confederations Cup clash with Memalodi Sundowns. Ghanasportsonline.com understands.

The Mauves will leave for South Africa tomorrow for the first leg match at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Friday.

Reports indicate the Swede has been exempted from the team after allegedly going AWOL.

Earlier reports had hinted the coach has apologized for absconding himself from the team.

The situation will see technical director Evans Adortey taking charge of the team for the crucial game.
