Asante Kotoko stop-gap coach Michael Osei hopes his side can replicate the performance which saw them rally to beat Liberty Professionals 3-1 at home.

Osei was taking charge of his first competitive match since replacing David Duncan who has been told to step aside.

The Porcupine Warriors went down on three minutes through Latif Blessing but Ahmed Adams equalized and Dauda Mohammed gave them a 2-1 lead.

Amos Frimpong converted a spot-kick to seal victory and move the club from the foot of the table to 8th.

Osei will lead Kotoko in their MTN FA Cup match against Real 24 Hours FC at the Wa Park on Saturday before travelling to Dreams FC in Dawu.

"We hope this performance continues, apart from we winning the game we played some good football as well," Osei in a post-match interview.

"We were discipline on the day and I am happy for the win, I just hope we keep our focus and win our subsequent games us well.

"For me I think this win will boost our confidence in the remaining matches so I am hoping for the best."
