Kotoko player of month award launch postponed

90 MINUTES can exclusively reveal that the proposed
September 29 launch date for the Kotoko player of the year awards, has been
cancelled and the new date of October 13 chosen to outdoor the novelty.
The details will be made available soon but we can reveal
that after discussions between management and Dr. Ernest Opoku, brain behind
the initiative, it was decided to postpone the launch to the new date so all
Kotoko Board members can be present.
Beginning next season,
players of Kumasi Asante Kotoko will be up for the club’s player of the year
award supported by Dr. Ernest Opoku, MD at the Redhill Medical Centre at
Santasi-Anyinam in Kumasi, thus dubbed ‘Redhill player of the month award.’
Kotoko fans will decide 60% with
the technical team of the club deciding the remaining 40%, talks are ongoing
with Mobile Content to soon announce a short code so that supporters nationwide
can vote.
