Kotoko contracts Herbert Addo as Head Coach

Kumasi, May 22, GNA - The management of Kumasi Asante Kotoko FC has contracted Herbert Addo as Head Coach of the Club with immediate effect. The Reverend Osei Kofi, a Management Member of Kotoko, who disclosed this to newsmen in Kumasi at the week-end, said the move follows the recent resignation of Isaac "Opeele" Boateng, the substantive coach. Rev. Osei Kofi disclosed that Coach Addo has been contracted to see Kotoko through the season after which management will decide on the next line of action.

He said the new coach has been given the mandate to choose his own assistant and that the fate of assistant coaches' Isaac Boateng and Johnston Smith would be decided by the coach.

The Management Member urged the teeming supporters of Kotoko to be supportive of the new coach to enable him succeed in his new task. 22 May 09
