I hope to come back stronger -John Mensah

Black Stars captain John Mensah is hoping to have a stronger come back in the national team following the team's 7:0 victory over Lesotho in the 2014 World Cup qualifier.

Mensah's long term future in the game has been called into doubt after featuring in just one game for French giants Lyon last season.

The former Ashgold defensive stalwart's career has been beseech with injuries in the last three years prompting fears he might have to call it quits to save his health.

But speaking to www.liquidsportsghana.com after the Ghana vs Lesotho game at the Baba Yara Sports stadium, John Mensah said he can't wait to get back into the national team.

When asked, when he hopes to return to the field Mensah said, " definitely very soon but I hope I will come back stronger again."

The Lyon defender missed the world cup qualifier due to an injury but was at the stadium to give moral support to his teammates. He reckoned that the Black Stars were really motivated to win the game.

"I'm really excited with the seven goals. It wasn't easy for them but they were determined and at the end got the three points."
