Hearts will bounce back: Acting CEO

Acting Hearts of Oak CEO, Ashford Tettey Oku remains adamant there is no panic at the club after the former champions fell to their first defeat of the season to Dwarfs in Tema on Saturday.

Despite playing against a side which were playing home-away-from-home, Hearts still came up short with the Cape Coast based club dominating in a 3-1 victory.

But Mr. Tettey Oku insists it was just a bad day at the office so the fans shouldn’t press the panic button. “There is no need to panic. We are playing 30 matches in total, you win some and you lose some. It’s no big deal,” the Hearts chief told 90 MINUTES.

The FIFA instructor continued: “We congratulate Dwarfs for a good performance and hope our technical team will work on our lapses and we’ll return to winning ways. We’ll stay focused and keep to our targets for the season.”

Mr. Tettey-Oku is also not worried about Hearts league title challenge as the Phobians aim to end a 4-season trophy drought “The point is all 16 clubs have the set objective to win the league. Every team started out seeking to be champions but there will be only one winner. You realize we’ve made some recruitment for the future. It does not mean that we don’t want to win the league but it’s a long term idea and we are focused on the future,” he added.
