Alhaji Mohammed Issahaku, Managing Director of Golden Sports Africa and Business Centre is expressing gratitude to His Excellency, President John Mahama for sending football fans to support the national team at the recent Cup of Africa Nations.

Alhaji Issahaku, also Director of Operations of FA Cup champs, New Edubiase is singing the praises of the President for the “morale-boosting” thought of paying for over one thousand Ghanaians to go and support the Black Stars in South Africa.

“I want to personally thank His Excellency, President Mahama for giving many Ghanaians the opportunity to travel to South Africa to support and offer morale to the Black Stars,” Alhaji Issahaku who has just returned from South Africa told 90 MINUTES.

He continued: “It’s a marvelous decision and it was just unfortunate that the Black Stars couldn’t win the cup but we trust the President to continue to offer them supports like this and next time they will win the cup for Mother Ghana.”

Mr. Issahaku is similarly grateful to the Ghana Football Association for also supporting New Edubiase FC financially in their CAF Confederations Cup campaign and has pledged that the club which won their first leg encounter 1-0 against Congolese opponents, Daible Noirs will make Ghana proud in their maiden continental campaign.

“We thank the GFA and Ghanaians for all their support before the first leg. We won only 1-0, it’s not the best but we‘ll go and beat them to advance to the next stage,” he said.
