Ghatel Ladies draw with Kings in a friendly

Cape Coast, July 31, GNA- Cape Coast Ghatel Ladies played a spectacular game to hold the Under 14 team of Brofoyedur Kings football club to a 3-3 drawn game in a friendly soccer match played at the Cape Coast Victoria Park on Saturday.

Ghatel Ladies who started the match on a fast note however conceded an early goal against the run of play when Kings' centre forward, Paul Quaye capitalised on defensive mix up for the opener. Undaunted by the early lead, Ghatel Ladies fought back gamely to cancel the lead through their playmaker, Mary Baidoo in the 25th minute. Kings again hit back gamely to increase their tally to two through their midfielder, Edward Dadzie to end the first half.

On resumption of the second half, Kings continued to pile pressure on the ladies and Quaye was on hand to score his second goal in the 49th minute to bring the scores to 3-1. Ghatel Ladies from then on took control the match and scored two quick goals through Baidoo and Esi Dorcas to bring the final scores to three all.
