ENGLAND: Premiership
Chelsea's title hopes suffered a major blow after they were held to a 2-2 draw by Bolton at Stamford Bridge. The result, and Manchester United's comeback win at Everton, means Chelsea sit five points behind the Old Trafford club with just three games remaining. Micheal Essien played the full 90 minutes. He was drafted back into defence alongside John Terry in the 25 miunte after an injury to Carvalho.

West Ham moved closer to safety and piled the pressure on Wigan with a convincing 3-0 victory at The JJB Stadium, but as usual John Paintsil was not even on the bench

FRANCE: Ligue 1
Rennes are up to fifth after goals from John Utaka and Jimmy Briand gave them a 2-0 win over Nantes, who are now on the brink of relegation. John Mensah was substituted in the 85 minute.

Hearts turned out to be party poopers as they ran out 3-1 winners over champions Celtic. Laryea Kingston was involved in all three goals for his side. He played in Ivaskevicius who shrugged off the attentions of two defenders before scoring the first goal. Hearts promptly doubled their advantage two minutes later as a result of a foul on Laryea. Andrew Driver curled home the resulting free-kick. 20 minutes from time Kingston was fouled in the area and Michal Pospisil converted from the spot.
