Ghana's last four hopes goes to the wire

Ghana lost 2-0 to hosts, South Africa on Sunday at the Cape Town Stadium in the 8-Nation International tournament.

The defeat puts on hold, the Black Satellites' hopes of sealing a semi-final place as the qualifying now goes to the wire in Group A.

A 38th minute opener from the head of Thabani Thembu put the Amajita's in front and doubled their lead five minutes later when Junior Sibande slotted in from close range after a goalmouth scramble.

Orlando Wellington's team, with three points from their opening win against Nigeria, will now have to play for a last four place in the final group clash against Argentina on Tuesday.
