GLICO supports Ghana's AAG campaign

GLICO Group, one of the leading insurance companies in the country has presented an insurance cover to the tune of GHc 3.5 million to cover the 350 athletes and officials representing Ghana at the 11th All Africa Games (AAG).

The company further donated a cash of GHc 10,000 for preparation ahead of the competition billed for September 4-19 in Congo Brazzaville.

The insurance is to spur the team on as they prepare towards the quadrennial event and as well motivate them to win laurels.

According to the Head of Corporate Affairs and Marketing, Nana Efua Rockson,
"We believe the better way to motivate the team is to sponsor and rally behind the players and cheers and we hope our athletes will have a better chance of fulfilling their true potential and achieve great laurels for the country."

Rockson urged the Ministry of Youth and Sports to open up opportunities in the country for the youth to participate in sports and to reach their fullest potentials.

"We understand that sports have a major social, political and economic significance in contemporary society and we will continue to support the development of sports in the country’’.

She called on Ghanaians and corporate entities to throw their weight behind the team to ensure they chalk success at the event.
