The GFA Executive Committee has temporarily banned King Solomon FC, Tamale Utrecht, and Northern Ladies from using their respective home venues with immediate effect.

The decision was taken due to unfortunate incidents that occurred at Kwahu Praso on Match Day 12 between King Solomon FC and Accra Great Olympics played on Sunday, May 22, 2016, and at the Tamale Academy Park between Tamale Utrecht and Berlin FC.

Another incident of violence occurred at Tamale Annex when Northern Ladies hosted Ampem Darkoa Ladies in their Match-day 5 game.

The decision is in accordance with Article 15(2) of the GFA General Regulations which states that “the GFA may order the closure of any league centre where the safety of clubs, Match Officials or Spectators cannot be guaranteed”.

The Division One League Board and the Women League Board will determine the venues for the Clubs’ subsequent home matches in accordance with the provisions of Article 15(3) of the GFA General Regulations.

This order is without prejudice to the determination of the case pending before the Disciplinary Committee.
