In an exclusive interview with Ghanaweb, the chief scribe of the Ghana Football Association, Saani Daara, said the performance of the team will be examined.

“If there are negatives, we will learn from it as it is and bring fortitudes and then the positives we build on it”
Black Stars Coach Avram Grant also joined the team’s flight back to Ghana and further articulated his assessment of the tournament.

“It was a good tournament but I think it was very painful that we lost in the semi-final.”

Black Stars were expected to rule Africa this year by winning the African Cup of Nations, held in Gabon to end the 35-year of drought. However, it lost by a goal to nil against Cameroon in the semi-finals before losing to Burkina Faso in the third place playoff.
