Ayew calls for more consistency from Ghana

With two international goals to his name and both struck on the same day, Ghana striker, Jordan Ayew is brimming with confidence in the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.

The Olympique Marseille striker scored a brace in Ghana's 7-0 thrashing of Lesotho last Friday in the opening Group D qualifier in Kumasi.

Jordan, younger brother of Andre, who is missing through injury, has called for the Black Stars to show ambition ahead of their next game against African champions, Zambia in Ndola on Saturday.

“I hope we go to Zambia and with the same morale and with ambition. We can do it,” Jordan Ayew said.

“If we can go on like this, I am sure that we can go on to win in Zambia.”

The striker who played the entire game in Ghana's thrilling defeat of Lesotho says the victory over the South African nation was very important in the campaign.

“It was a very good performance and the goals are very important. Seven goals is a good performance and I am happy for the team,” he said.

Ghana and Sudan are joint leaders in Group D in the qualifying for the 2014 FIFA World Cup after both teams won their opening group matches.

The Black Stars lead the log by a better goal difference. And both joint-leaders are away this weekend in the qualifying.
