Atsu is 'honoured' to be playing alongside Eto'o

Ghana winger Christian Atsu says he is ‘honoured’ to be working alongside Cameroon legend Samuel Eto’o at Everton.

The ex Barcelona, Inter Milan and Chelsea star completed a two-year free transfer move to Goodison Park earlier in the week.

The ex Cameroon captain is expected to complement the striking efforts of his ex Chelsea teammate Romelu Lukaku who had arrived earlier this summer.

Eto’o will also be charged to guiding the young lads at the club through his massive experience across Europe.

One of such youngsters will be Christian Atsu who is with the Merseysiders on a season’s-long loan deal from Chelsea.

The 22-year-old couldn’t hide his joy at the prospect of working side by side with Samuel Eto’o.

“It is an honour to play in the same team as this legend @setoo9 [Samuel Eto’o],” Atsu said in a tag to an Instagram post of him at the two-time Champions League winner.

Eto’o could make his Everton debut against his ex club Chelsea this weekend.

Atsu is however not eligible for Everton as he cannot feature against his substantive club as per his loan move.
