Afriyie Acquah and Lee Addy given late call-ups

Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has handed late call-ups to the Black Stars squad for Wednesday's friendly against Cape Verde.

Midfielder Afriyie Acquah and China-based defender Lee Addy have been called up to replace two players who have pulled out of the game.

Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has been withdrawn to allow him to join in the one week celebration of his late mother Cecilia Amoako.

France-based defender Jonathan Mensah has also pulled out of the squad after he suffered a thigh injury while playing for his club Evian.

Afriyie and Addy will join the Black Stars camp in Lisbon on Monday after they were handed the late call-ups.

Ghana will play Cape Verde in Lisbon as both sides prepare for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa in January.
