Africa Cricket Association boss to visit Ghana

Accra, Oct. 14, GNA – Mr Cassim Suliman, Chief Executive Officer of Africa Cricket Association (ACC) and Regional Development Manager in charge of Africa for the International Cricket Association (ICC), will arrive in Ghana on Friday, October 15, for a three day official visit.

During the three-day visit, Mr Suliman will hold series of meetings with

Executive Committee of the Ghana Cricket Association (GCA), visit the

Achimota Cricket Oval to watch ongoing Accra Schools Invitational T-20

Cricket League as well as hold brief interactions with participating teams and members of the senior national team.

According to information from the secretariat of the GCA, the ACA boss will also hold discussions with other stake holders in the sport such as the National Sports Council (NSC), umpires, coaches, retired Cricket Players and members of the international community who have contributed to the development of the sport in Ghana.

He will on Saturday night attend a special dinner in his honour at the Alisa Hotel under the distinguished patronage of the Chief of Staff, Henry Martey Newman and Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Reuben Nii Nortey Duah.

Mr Suliman will also witness ongoing Diwali Tournament at the Achimota Oval on Sunday morning, after which he will make a power point presentation on the sport at the Press Center of the Ohene Djan Stadium, Accra followed a media interaction at the same venue.

The ACA boss will hold a brief meeting with the Minister of Youth and Sports, Chief Executive of the National Sports Council (NSC) on Monday, October 17, before departure to South Africa later in the day.
