Secondly, the previous government passed the National Film Act which has portions dealing with pornography. Don't play politics. Quickly establish the National Film Authority, appoint an Executive Secretary, compose the Board and get them to work right away. The Broadcasting Bill is there so why wait till next year? Take a look at it and do whatever amendments you wish to and get it passed without delay. All these will sanitise the industry. Think of the country a little and not what will fill your individual pockets! Aabah!!!!

The Government of Ghana has power to shut down the TV stations publishing or telecasting pornographic matereials. Its a "commonsense" law based on ethics, locus, morals and traditions/custom of a modern nation called Ghana. This law supercedes the Status, Common Law, Tort and Contract Laws and all the Military Junta decrees. Itsis what any average person sees to be either reasonable or not. Indecency and obscenity are just morally unacceptable in any decent society. Its called Commonsense, period. This is liberalism gone wide in Ghana and its foreign. This foreign culture being foisted on our next generation from people who have no morals, no common decency in life. STOP NPP government. Send the police to close down the TV stations. This is weakling and not handicap issue nor is the NPP government constrained by the constitution. Wake up NPP before Ghana is consumed by idiocy. Even in the US, the home of Liberty and the land of the brave, the radio and TV stations have to abide by certain code of ethics, failing which they will be fined seriously. Stop these idiots operating under the name of freedom of speech. Where their freedom ends that is where the generality of our society's begin. NPP sit up or you will be booted out of office for allowing the indecency to creep into our social fabric. Where does this rubbish end? Would the TV owners be mother fuckers? Lets ask them. If its incorrect and ethically immoral to have a incestuous relationship with your mother, then equally society should not allow some crazy folks to pollute the minds of our kids and next generations. The law courts should err on the side of social morals and not allow these irresponsible TV stations who see nothing wrong with obscene movies. If the owners of the TV stations will not self-censor, the courts will have to put them out of business. Mustapha you are wrong in saying the government is clipped by the laws of the land. Do something about this crazy lawlessness prevailing in Ghana. Next we will hear government can't stop indecency in public domain. This is why we have government to oversee the out-layers in our society. We as a nation can not allow cultures that are foreign to us. Shut the TV stations polluting the public minds down by any means necessary. STOP THEM NOW.

Port movies are on cables channel and customers/viewers have to purchase porn movies to get those cable channels activate for few hours. PG 13 movies are basically not porn movies we shouldn't get mixed up, these are horror movie which the government required parents guide. With my decades in US there is no local TV that permits porn movies. A nation like Ghana to put porn movies on the table for discussion really don't make sense. The government have all the power and authority to ban it. Adult entertainment TV show should be permitted under strictly conditions

Why were these pornography films not shown during the past administration. Promising too much during the campaign and the laxed and too permissive system of government so far especially to the private sector is what is emboldening all these groups.
