Parliament will today, January, 31 resume sitting after a weekend of orientation for new Members of the House.

Beginning last Friday, the House held an induction seminar in Koforidua to teach new MPs the rules and procedures that governed parliament.

The seminar went on amidst the raging issue of attempted bribery of some minority MPs to facilitate the approval of Energy minister, Boakye Agyarko, a claim that has since been denied.

A formal statement is expected to be made on the floor and the Speaker has been petitioned to institute an independent inquiry to probe the allegations.

Meanwhile, the Appointments Committee will vet three more Minister-nominees today.

They include Minister nominee for Lands and Forestry, John Peter Amewu, and Minister-designate for Works and Housing, Mr Samuel Atta Akyea.
