Three In A Row For Braves

BASKETBALL: The Braves of CEPS this week chalked three straight wins by beating Wizards 85 - 41 on Wednesday and Warriors 106 - 56 on Friday. Their biggest won came on Saturday when they walloped YOTVE 113 - 45.The Braves had full control of that game right from the start shot well, rebounded well and therefore had several fast break points. The game was almost marred in the fourth quarter when YOTIVE's 'Rodman' kicked Braves' swingman Papa in the groin in what seemed to be retaliation to an earlier altercation. The brouhaha continued after the game when 'Rodman' attempted to apologize to Papa after the game and the latter responded by swinging his arm. The basketball community expects to see some fines and suspensions in this matter.

In other games, Wizards were able to subdue Magic 55 - 53. Yotive showed class against Flames 73 - 52.

In the final game of the weekend, the veteran team After 7 beat Police 73 - 63. Police attempted a late comeback with a barrage of threes but the savvy veterans showed maturity and worked the clock till the final whistle.

The league resumes on Wednesday however Braves of CEPS and After 7 will take the weekend off to participate in the CLOSE UP BIG SLAMS at the Aviation Social Center on the 27th of September.
