Alan K: It’s God who enthrones Kings

The first runner-up in the main opposition New Patriotic Party’s Sunday super delegates’ congress, Alan Kyeremanten, has said it is God who enthrones Kings and would not be cowed to step down for Nana Akufo-Addo to be acclaimed as the flagbearer.

The former trade minister was walloped in the first round prompting some party stalwarts and political watchers to push for Nana Addo's acclamation come October 18.

In reference to what his spokesman, Nana Ohene Ntow referred to as a “surprising” performance in the mini congress, which was used to reduce the number of aspirants from seven to five, StarrFMonline.com learns that the former trades Minister told his campaign team and workers soon after the results were announced that he remains unfazed.

Sources within his camp told StarrFMonline.com that despite his poor performance, a spirited Kyeremanten exhorted his team to braze up for the second phase of the congress where 141,000 delegates will elect one of the final five as flagbearer for the 2016 elections.

He told his team that making it to the final five is the most important thing for now and urged his team to be strong and get ready for the task ahead.
