Gyan wants to appease fans with big Uganda victory

Asamoah Gyan is rallying his troops for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying battle against the Cranes of Uganda and has commissioned a mission for his teammates in a bid to console their countrymen for their disappointing Brazil 2014 display.

Gyan is desperate to appease Ghanaians with a resounding victory come Saturday against Uganda.

“The game is only a few days away, a so we don’t have much time so we should come together and get ready for the match because we have a very short time,” Gyan told media men on arrival in the country on Sunday night.

“I’m calling on the players to all come to Ghana and let’s plan on how to approach the game. We have to make sure we make everybody happy because we know the fans are not happy from our performance at the World Cup,” Gyan explained.

The UAE based striker who was in Malawi last week on a UNAIDS ambassadorial trip is also delighted to be back home, even if for some few days.

“It’s a great feeling to come back and play for your country; it’s a good thing and I’m really happy to be back in Ghana. And as always, I will give off my best to the Black Stars on Saturday,” Asamoah said.
