Mahama rated last

Nana Obiri Boahen, a former Minister of Interior under the previous Kufour administration and renowned legal practitioner in the Brong Ahafo Region, has stated that President Mahama is the worse president to rule Ghana since independence.

Nana Obiri Boahen made this statement in an interview with Classic FM, a private radio station based in Techiman.

Nana Obiri Boahen said since assuming power, President Mahama has proved beyond reasonable doubt that he is incompetent and insensitive to the plight of the populace.

"President Mahama will tell Ghanaians that the year 2014 will be a happy year for the people because he had put some measures down which will go a long way to solve the mess that we have found ourselves in and again tell Ghanaians to bear with him because the economy has some challenges," he stated.

According to Nana Obiri Boahen, President Mahama has surrounded himself with Team B ministers who lack the knowledge to tackle the numerous problems confronting the nation.

He said when the NPP took over from the NDC in 2001, there were many challenges but the Kufuor administration worked hard to resolve them.

By the time the tenure of President Kufuor ended, Ghanaians saw many social interventions.

The noise being made by the NDC that they have built classroom blocks to the extent that even the late president Mills had cause to add it in his speech at the United Nations is laughable.

Touching on the rapid depreciation of the cedi against major foreign currencies, the former Minister of Interior said reckless spending by the NDC in the run-up to the 2012 elections coupled with the inability of the government to encourage export have all led to the current economic crunch.

A government, which is only good at going for loans and refuses to think outside the box messes up and thereby impoverish its people.

He used the opportunity to appeal to Ghanaians to prepare for the worse ahead of the 2016 elections.

Nana Obiri Boahen called on the citizenry to pray for the NPP to come back to power to continue with the good works of the previous Kufour administration, which has been bastardized by the incompetent and clueless Mahama administration.
