Nduom has no size

It was recently reported in the media that Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom who was the 2012 Presidential Candidate of the PPP has taken a personal decision to bow out of active politics. This has generated many controversial headlines and comments among the media fraternity, party supporters and the Ghanaian populace as a whole. Whether this story is true or not, we are yet to know. Dr. Nduom has not yet come out openly to reprove these public speculations in the media. Meanwhile, the PPP National Youth Coordinator, Divine Nkrumah and other members of the Executive Committee have dismissed as untrue the said decision by Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom.

It is interesting to note that some political party communicators, especially those from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have mischievously peddled health-related rumours as the reason behind the alleged decision of Dr. Nduom not to contest the 2016 Elections. They claim Dr. Nduom’s decision not to contest is as a result of ill-health. As funny as this might sound, the motive is rather unfortunate and only seeks to discourage Dr. Nduom who is the obvious choice for the 2016 Presidential election.

I can assure everyone that Dr. Nduom is as strong as the unity in the PPP. In the 2012 election for example, Dr. Nduom was the only Presidential candidate who was bold enough to declare his health status, tax returns and sources of party funding. This is a true mark of a disciplined leader. Why did the other Presidential candidate(s) not also follow such exemplary leadership traits? If Ghanaians truly want to know which of the aspirant is most fit physically, psychologically and emotionally to rule this country, I throw a challenge to all the Aspirants who wish to contest the 2016 election to compete with Dr. Nduom in a 100m dash race at the Accra Sports Stadium. Let us be truthful to ourselves, Ghana is very sick and it needs an experienced economic physician to diagnose the problems and proffer everlasting solution.

Considering Ghana as a very sick country, it will be embarrassing and a miss of opportunity for me and the many other Ghanaians if on 28th July 2014 which is a public holiday, we do not fully participate in that powerful evening Public lecture which shall be delivered by Ghana’s most acclaimed Economic Physician Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom who is also known as ‘Edwumawura’ or “Dr Fix it”. The lecture which is supposed to start at 5pm is on the theme; SOLUTIONS FOR GHANA: A NATION IN CRISIS. It is in this lecture that a determination can be made by all Ghanaians as to who is better positioned with the requisite knowledge, expertise and wherewithal to transform this country from this current economic hardship.
Congratulations to the PPP on its second anniversary.

AWAKE people of Ghana

Long live all Progressive Forces
Long live Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom and the Progressive People’s Party (PPP)
Long live Ghana!!
