He might be rich now but if he make the mistake of deliberately mis ruling and allow the NPP to come to power, he will regret forever; for these NPP guys are known for smiling or pretending to be praying when in reality they are right in the process of committing the most heinous crimes. NDC cannot develop an economy. This is a historical fact! The nation has suffered immense economic retrogression under the wasteful NDC government over. In 8 years, Kuffour and the NPP,among many social and economic development achievements, provided a national health scheme. NDC CANNOT even MANAGE these establishments. They are falling like sand in the hands. Now the people are feeling the pain because they cannot enjoy the relief K4/NPP brought to them.After the 18 wasted years under Rawlings,he NPP came to show how to do it. NDC has taken the country back down on its knees. Just as there is nothing new under the sun, the people should not expect anything new from the NDC because it is utterly incompetent when it comes to governance. On sober reflection just before elections, people are going to remember the looting under Kufuor and ask themselves:How they will consciously and knowingly return the NPP to power to come and take over all government lands and buildings, and sell off all government enterprises to their party members? Can people forget that even Ursula was given one of the Ghana Airways buildings? And that Kufuor was in the process of selling the residence of the Chief of Defence Staff to Kwadwo Mpiani?

Even those still doubting will be frightened to think of how NPP turned Ghana into the drugs hub of the west coast of Africa. Will they dream of reversing the gains NDC has made in curbing the drugs trade?

Besides, who will be happy to be ruled by the quarrelsome, arrogant and internationally acknowledged marijuana smoking (Wikileaks) Nana Addo as their president?

The conclusion by all will be that despite any shortcomings, Ghana is a trillion times safer under an NDC regime. After all, who is perfect?

Most of the hitherto vibrant diaspora Branches of the ruling party that could boast of hundreds of members just 3 years ago now only exist on paper. Majority of them have less than a dozen members. Some don't longer hold their monthly meetings to discuss issues concerning the party and Ghana. The recent NDC USA conference held in Dallas was poorly attended as many of their members stayed away due to internal Chapter conflicts and negligence by the mother party thereby causing apathy among members.

As a party in power, the NDC has never been so low. It's very hard to keep its core members not to talk about recruiting new ones.

It's obvious NDC will regain power in 2016. Sequentially, each of the two ruling parties (NDC&NPP) are given mandate by Ghanaian electorate to lead the country for two terms, never mind who the leader might be.
After 1992- the 4th republic - NDC led the country for two terms, followed by NPP for another two terms and back to NDC for another two terms which end in 2016. If the sequence is to go by, which am sure it will, NPP will be given mandate to rule Ghana in 2016.

In 2012, NPP hasted to resume power but I knew they would fail and, they did. During the landmark petition, I argued in many quarters that NPP would never be successful whatever their argument.

Surely, whether there are hardships in the country or whatever, NDC rule comes to end in 2016 until another 8 years, all things being equal.

If he can go all out for a sustainable export drive to bring in significant foreign exchange revenues and curtail the import bill drastically,Ghana will be fine as the prices of cocoa and gold gather momentum for an upward trend on the global market.The Cedi will be happy too.A balance of trade surplus is inevitable.
He has to put on hold the withdrawal of subsidies on utilities and refined petroleum products which are fueling inflation.
I would have preferred generous tax incentives to attract investments(both local and foreign).Then payroll taxes afterwards from the employment to be generated by the investments. That appears to be the most effective way of mobilizing revenues,instead of burdening companies with taxes and withdrawing allowances to stifle production and consumption.
Seth Terkper needs a new strategy tuned in this direction.
