Mighty Malt Drink officially unveiled

The new Grace Mighty Malt (PREMIUM IN NATURE) non-alcoholic malt drink distributed by GraceKennedy Ghana limited a subsidiary of GraceKennedy Group in Kingston, Jamaica of which Grace Foods UK Limited is a part of, has officially been launched into the Ghanaian market.

The distinct look of the bottled and canned beverage, the revitalizing and energizing nature of the drink makes it unique in its own right and has already taken the Ghanaian market by storm amid the growing economy of Ghana and the influx of the importation of many beverages.

During a short but colourfull launch last Friday at the African Regent Hotel in Accra, the General Manager of GraceKennedy Ghana Ltd., Jerome Miles noted that the GraceKennedy Group which was established in Jamaica in 1922 comprises a varied network of some 60 subsidiaries and associated companies located across the Caribbean and in North and Central America, Europe and the United Kingdom. The ceremony attracted a lot of media attention.

He said, their operations span around food distribution, banking, insurance, money remittance, hardware retailing and food-processing industries, adding that in 1995, GraceKennedy developed its 2020 Vision, the objective being to transform from a Jamaican trading company to a global consumer group by the year 2020. He also added that they expect a significant sales uplift from a highly competitive price point, which still provides a healthy margin to the company. The event he mentioned was held to unveil the Premium Malt beverage, a detailed brief of the next level campaign, plans and expectations of the company in the coming years.

He also noted that Grace Foods UK is passionate about food, and no one knows more about Caribbean food and drink in the UK than them. “We have a diverse and authentic range of products to offer, so whether you’re looking for a spicy sauce for a barbeque, a refreshing tropical drink, or a particular ingredient for a special recipe, we can help. And speaking of recipes, don’t forget to visit our recipe pages for some delicious Caribbean meals.”

The Sales and Marketing Manager of GraceKennedy Ghana Ltd., Mr. Adolf Dogbey stressed that GraceKennedy stormed the Ghanaian market in 2012 with the high hopes of distributing high quality products at competitive prices as well as creating secured job opportunities. Their orientation focused at more interaction with the public using social media as their key media, and their target concentrated on the youth, meaning young and energetic people.

He also added that the company is committed to sponsoring and supporting credible events as well as helping the entertainment industry, a pledge which is already in motion as they are sponsoring the award winning artiste of the just ended VGMA’s, Nii Lantey to Launch his album in Jamaica. He also indicated that they look at investing in Ghana for a long time as they intend to partner Ghanaian businesses for better service delivery and product expansion.

The Chief Innovation Officer GraceKennedy Foods, Kingston, Jamaica, Mr. Zak Mars was also present to grace the occasion.
