we dont need no messiah bullshit talk to mislead our people into fantasy , God has said there can be only one messiah and the rest are fakes and liars , only leaders who truly believe in justice and the rule of law will ensure prosperity. our people based on their own competence and being rewarded on merit will secure together with common sense a sustainable development. vision was a matter of the middle ages , today its about science , proper strategy and hard work. look at all the countries that succeeded , was it about visionary leaders or systems of governance that secured basic freedoms and human rights. America had George Washington who had the good sense not to declare himself king or president for life like nkrumah. Germany willy Brandt and so on

Our leaders can adopt what Carlos Lopes has said as blueprint for Ghana's development instead of rushing to sign the EU pact which is a death sentence to Ghana's economy.

Mr. Lopes, you are right. Africa needs visionary leaders like the great Kwame Nkrumah and not brainless and murderous leaders like JJ. Rawlings, or incompetent, corrupt and tribalistic leaders like John Kuffour, or just peace making leaders like John Atta-Mills or criminals with very dubious backgrounds, without professional certificates but call themselves professionals like Nana Akuffo Addo. Africa needs leaders like Nkrumah who work in the interst of its citizens but not those who only work in the interest of the whiteman (Neo-colonialistic mentallity).

This is exactly what Dr Nduom and the PPP have been telling the People way back since 2008. Education, Health and Job Creation will be the foundation of the Better Ghana we all crave for.
The ndc and npp have managed to make the people so despondent that they will accept crumbs from them, those that they have voted into office to represent them in government and take care of their needs. Here we are in a society where insults and corruption has become the tools of a successful politician.
It is time the people woke up to the fact that we get what we vote for. The PPP stands for Economic Independence, without which we will always be asked to sign treaties like the EPA that is now an albatross hanging around our necks.
It is time we begin looking inward to that fact that we are Ghanaians first then African, we must begin to see what is Ghanaian as the best. We have done it before and can do it again. Ghanaian Awake and let us take back our Ghana.
The PPP is ready and able to take forward through first class Education and Health which will transform into a people who want to work and therefore job creation with the support of the governments purchasing power.

GHANA'S CLUELESS LEADERSHIP IS ALWAYS PLAYING POLITICS WITH DEVELOPMENT ENDING UP WITH UN-BRIDDLED GREED, CORRUPTION, ABUSE OF THE RULE OF LAW AND JUSTICE IN THE LAND OF OUR FATHERS AND MOTHERS.
IN VIEW OF WHAT THE ECA BOSS HAS SAID WHICH MOST OF US HAVE KNOWN, IS THE WAY OF AFRICA TO GO, CAN YOU TELL ME WHERE YOU SEE LEADERSHIP AND JUSTICE IN GHANA IN THE FACE OF THESE SCANDALS; WOYOME, WATERVILLE, AA AUTOMOBILE, CP, STX, SADA, SUBA, GYEEDA, AKONFEM FLIGHTS, GHOST TREE PLANTING, MERCHANT BANK, FORTIZ AND TELL ME THAT THE LEADERSHIP OF GHANA CARES ABOUT DEVELOPMENT OF THE COUNTRY TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF GHANAIANS
IT IS ALMOST TWO YEARS NOW SINCE THE WOYOME CASE CAME TO COURT; YET THE MINISTRY OF JUSTICE WITH ITS ATTORNEY GENERAL AND THE COURTS ALL APPEAR UNWILLING TO PROCEED WITH THIS CASE WITH ALL THE DILY-DALLYING AND TIME WASTING TACTICS GOING ON.
THE PEOPLE OF GHANA CAN ONLY PERCEIVE, AT THIS PACE, THAT THE GOVERNMENT, THE NDC PARTY, THE JUDGES, THE COURTS, THE POLICE, ARE ALL PARTNERS IN THE PLANNING, LOOTING AND SHARING BRIGADE, RIPPING THIS COUNTRY OFF.
THE SAD PART OF THIS IS THAT GHANAIANS ARE MUTE PRETENDING EBE YIE WHILE IN OTHER COUNTRIES PEOPLE HAVE DEMONSTRATED IN THE STREETS TO THE POINT WHERE GOVERNMENTS AND LEADERS HAVE RESIGNED DUE TO THEIR INCOMPETENCE. IN GHANA THEY SING PRAISES TO THE INCOMPETENTS AND THE LEADERSHIP REWARDS THEM FURTHER BY PROMOTING THEM. THE WORD 'SACK' IS NOT IN THE VOCABULARY OF JOHN MAHAMA.

Carlos, you are right. It has been known for a very long time that the lack of development in Africa and Ghana in particular is lack of visionary leaders. Industrialisation and the made in Ghana was started in the sixties by Dr Kwame Nkrumah. We had GHIHOC which had nearly 18 manufacturing subsidiaries producing for local consumption and export. Just imagine if we had continued from Kwame left us Ghana would have a tiger economy. We now have leaders' whose vision is acquire $1 million or more by the time they leave office.

The development of Ghana does not lies on the leadership alone, but the whole citizens of Ghana. America is a good country not only because of their leadership, but because they have good citizens. in fact, the current lifestyle of Ghanaians cannot help the country to develop in anyway. the attitudes of Ghanaian citizens are worse than the leadership.

Structural transformation of Africa is what we need not structural adjustment to fit the economic models of the West or East.
That African structural transformation means
(1) Nurturing a highly educated and technologically skilled Africans to build the African Infrastructure
(2) African Industrialisation and Diversification by value-addition to our dominant primary products should follow by creating employment and income for the youth and the women.
(3) Renewable and clean energy is our only technology option and we have abundant hydro power, geothermal, biomass, wind and solar power resources to support our industrialisation and diversification.
We cannot put the cart before the horse. Our priorities must be right.
That is the essence of Mr Carlos Lopes, the Executive Secretary of UN ECA.
All Africans should commit that to memory and implement it: all of us can see that. We can.
