No one loves Marseille more than Ayew - Menes

Renowned French sports journalist Pierre Menes has stated that no Marseille player loves the team more than Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew.

The Canal+ and Live Sports journalist said he feels sad as the imminent departure of the Ghanaian in the summer will affect the team greatly.

“This is a guy who loves Marseille so much. I’m not sure there is any player who loves the club like that,” Menes told le10 Sports.

“His departure would be really a big loss. That’s why I was really sad when there was controversy in Marseille about him taking photograph with PSG players in a restaurant.”

Menes added: “If there is a good guy in this team who loves Marseille jersey, it’s him.”

Ayew’s future at Marseille is on hold until the end of the season though many feel he will leave.
