Citi News has gathered that the Cal Bank customer who was shot by a police officer on duty at the bank’s Derby Avenue branch in Accra on March 8, 2014 could sue the bank, the police officer in question and the Ghana Police Service.
Two customers sustained injuries when the police officer on duty reportedly opened fire in the banking hall after a confrontation with a customer, Nathaniel Nortey.
The Police administration subsequently took the CCTV footage of the incident from the bank for investigations.
The officer in question, Corporal Bernard Frimpong was subsequently detained by the Police administration.
